Leeds office and faced competition from 12 other finalists to win the award, which recognises women who have returned to work in pensions following maternity leave and have provided inspiration and acted as a role model to women looking to achieve balance between work and family life.

The awards themselves are not about men versus women, but focus on the fact that women are currently under-represented in the pensions sector yet achieve some great accomplishments so deserve to be recognised for these.

Julian Middleton, head of Freeths’ national Pensions team, commented: “Kim is a very worthy winner of this award. We at Freeths recognise how she juggles a busy home life with her career and has worked her way from secretary to director level whilst looking after three children and maintain great client relationships. It is a great accomplishment and I am sure that Kim will continue to prosper in her role.”Kim commented: “

I was delighted and honoured to receive this award which recognises women and their achievements within the pensions arena. Working in an ever changing area of law whilst working full-time, having childcare responsibilities and progressing my career is challenging but I am fortunate to work for a firm which supports women facing the same challenges.”Above: Kim Jones with comedian and host of the awards, Zoe Lyons.
