Freeths sponsor Vitalise Women of the Year Awards
Solicitors from national heavyweight Freeths attended a drinks reception at The House of Lords to launch this year’s Vitalise Women of the Year Awards (WOTY) search for Business Woman of the Year. Freeths are once again a headline sponsor.
Former businesswomen of the year Karren Brady and Hilary Devey are leading the call for the UK’s women executives and entrepreneurs to nominate themselves or others for the Businesswoman of the Year Award in order to increase the visibility of successful women in industry and encourage others to reach their full potential.
An audience of Peers, Members of Parliament and high profile business figures attending the House of Lords reception to open nominations heard that with the UK facing a significant national skills shortage, there has never been a more important time to inspire women to succeed in industry – particularly in the science and engineering sectors.
WOTY is an organisation which celebrates women’s achievements and supports key charities and the 33rd Vitalise Women of the Year Luncheon & Awards is scheduled to take place on Friday 9 October 2015 at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole.
Stoke-on-Trent solicitor Zalena Vandrewala, a commercial litigation specialist at Freeths and director of the Luncheon and Awards said:
“Freeths is a national law firm with local values. With our Freethinking approach we actively encourage the celebration of women’s achievements that WOTY seek to highlight every year. The search is now on for nominees – please contact me to nominate an inspirational woman you know.”
