Deputy managing partner promotion at Leeds office
Leading law firm Freeths are pleased to announce that Dispute Resolution Partner, James Hartley, has been appointed Deputy Managing Partner of the firm’s Leeds office.
The role has been newly created to assist John May, Managing Partner of Freeths’ Northern offices (in Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield) and to further develop the firm’s offering in Leeds. The new role is reflective of Freeths fast growth in the North of England, where the three Northern offices in the last financial year contributed just under £12m of Freeths’ total national turnover of £72m.
James specialises in all aspects of complex commercial dispute resolution and is currently representing several hundred subpostmasters in a multi-million pound group action against Post Office Limited. James joined Freeths in 2012 and has been pivotal in the growth of the Leeds office, which has experienced an increase of 60% in staff hires over the last 12 months, with a further 25% growth expected within the first financial quarter of this year.
John May commented:
“We are pleased to announce James’ new role which is in recognition of his dedication and commitment to the firm and I am sure the team will continue to develop and grow.”
