Workplace Culture & Wellbeing Charity Seminar with Cavendish Cancer Care and Freeths

Freeths LLP have joined up with Cavendish Cancer Care to provide a Workplace Culture & Wellbeing Seminar.1 in 2 people will be affected by cancer in their lifetime. Managers and HR professionals will encounter employees who require support either in managing their own care needs or the care needs of family / friends. By creating a culture of wellbeing and flexibility, employers can ensure that they retain key staff and provide assistance to those who need it most. A culture of openness can assist employees in seeking early support but also provide managers with a toolkit for engaging in these difficult conversations.

What will the seminar deliver?

Cavendish Cancer Care will provide a comprehensive overview of their services, facts and figures and how these can be used to support those with cancer or those who provide care services to their family or friends. A team from Cavendish Cancer Care will provide guidance on how managers can engage in 'Cancer Conversations'. Cavendish have a unique insight into how HR professionals can perform these often difficult discussions. After working with the therapists and management team of Cavendish Cancer Care they has developed a bespoke toolkit to assist managers in providing help and support. Freeths LLP will provide a detailed guide on how a business can promote a culture of wellbeing and openness through flexible working policies and modern / adaptive practices. The key focus on this part of the seminar will be how businesses can retain key staff, empower their workforce and work with employees to balance the needs of all involved.

Raising Funds

This seminar is looking to raise funds for Cavendish Cancer Care. We are asking for a donation of £10.00 for all attendees - all proceeds will be paid directly to Cavendish Cancer Care.
