Freeths wins double accolade at South Yorkshire Dealmakers Awards

The Sheffield Corporate Team at national law firm Freeths has been named the winner in two categories at this year’s Business Insider South Yorkshire Business Awards 2023.

Recognised for the team’s excellent work in the management buyout of Wincro Metal Industries, Freeths were handed the Deal of the year (£10m +) Award.

Freeths also triumphed with the Innovation Investment Award which saw a £1m investment in Sitehop by Mercia and others.

Senior Associate Rajinder Singh was highly commended by the judges in the Emerging Dealmaker category, and the team were also shortlisted for Corporate Law Firm of the year for the seventh consecutive year.

Having won Corporate Law Firm of the Year at the 2022 Dealmakers Awards, judges this year continued to be impressed by Freeths’ portfolio of impressive regional deals.
