David is an experienced property litigation partner based in our Birmingham office. He is the co-author of “Enforcement and Debt Recovery: a Guide to the New Law”, published by the Law Society.
He specialises in all commercial and residential disputes including rights to light, possession actions, dilapidations, consent to assign/sub-let, rent disputes, property fraud and insolvency.
David has recent experience in the FTT involving the appointment of a manager and in complex property fraud cases.
- No.1 West India Quay (Residential) Ltd v East Tower Apartments Ltd – Court of Appeal case relating to the refusal of consent in a residential context.
- Jones & Another v Hamilton – Acting for various offshore companies in a complex property fraud involving assets in the UK, France and Guernsey.
- Octagon Overseas Limited v Coates – Acting for a landlord of a large mixed-use development in various issues over the appointment and conduct of a tribunal-appointed manager.
- Advising on landmark property insolvency matters including acting on the Game and Strada administrations.
