Freeths achieve ISO 27001 certification

Freeths are pleased to announce that they have successfully achieved ISO 27001 certification.

ISO 27001 is the best known and widely used ISO standard providing requirements for 'Information Security' within an organisation. It enables a systematic approach to managing sensitive information so that it remains secure; involving people, processes and IT systems.

Peter Smith, Chief Executive at Freeths, commented

"We have been working to achieve certification since March and we received formal confirmation of our certification of the standard on 4th December 2017. This is great news for Freeths and our clients as we're demonstrating the importance we place on information security and that we fully comply with the internationally recognised standard of ISO 27001.
An added benefit of the efforts put into ISO 27001 is that the firm is now well placed in terms of the work they need to do for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), when it becomes law in May 2018."
