We can confirm that at Guy's request and timing he ceased to be a Member of the firm with effect from 30 September 2018.
We take this opportunity to thank him for his personal contribution over the last 35 years to the continued success and growth of our firm, as a longstanding elected Board member, Head of Dispute Management, the Leader of the Construction business within Freeths, and most recently Head of Innovation and Delivery.
We are pleased that he will remain with us as a Consultant and wish him well as he pursues new opportunities in the Construction & DisputeManagement, Innovation and Legal Operations sectors.
"35 years is a very long period of time in any one’s working life. It has been my pleasure and privilege to work throughout that time for the Freeths Law Firm. When I first started work the Firm's turnover was approximately £0.5m. My retirement date coincides with the Firm's half year and all the signs are that this year will be another record breaking year with turnover comfortably in excess of £80m.Turnover statistics alone do not tell the totality of the Firm's success. What gives me the greatest personal pride is that the values and manner of delivery of legal services that first attracted me to the Firm all those years ago, are still those that we apply in carrying out all aspects of our legal services for our clients. This is testament to both the quality of all our people and the leadership of the Firm over the years.It would be remiss of me not to acknowledge and pay tribute to my friends and colleagues who over the years have worked alongside me and supported or guided me when the need arose. You all know who you are, you have my sincere thanks. I am particularly grateful to the Firm for the manner in which we have been able to agree the terms of my retirement which maintains my connection with the Firm and also enables me to pursue other opportunities which interest and excite me".
