Freeths continue upward rankings trend in legal directories

National law firm Freeths saw a bumper crop of top rankings in this year’s Legal 500, the clients’ guide to the profession. The directory and online resource is based on extensive research with users of legal services, as a result of which the number of areas in which Freeths gained top tier rankings increased to 24. The firm was also recommended in 49 categories and features 24 Leading Elite Lawyers (ranked as pre-eminent in their field), with a striking 164 lawyers gaining recommendations for their expertise.

Hot on the heels of the publication of the Legal 500, a rise in rankings was also seen in Chambers directory, with 67 lawyers at Freeths singled out as Leaders in their Field.

The rankings in these directories reflect both the growth in the firm’s geographic spread, as well as new specialisms being developed across the UK. Services ranked for the first time this year include business immigration in London, environmental services in the Midlands and North, with the Leeds office being newly recognised for its commercial property and disputes specialists, and Sheffield for its insolvency team. This recognition reinforces the national reputation the firm already enjoys in longer established locations and legal disciplines.

Head of Freeths’ growing London office, Philippa Dempster commented: “We take the Legal 500 rankings very seriously as the researchers speak to our clients and to our peers to gain their feedback. The rankings are testimony to our hard working and very talented lawyers who are driven to achieve excellent results for our clients.”
