On 4 October, Fiona Powell and Hurmus Oltan, Employment Law Specialists at Freeths LLP will be presenting an exciting employment law webinar, which will be the third of its series of ‘key hot topics’.
Fiona and Hurmus will be looking in particular at how businesses can effectively manage the disciplinary and grievance process to ensure legal compliance, resolve workplace disputes (where possible) and to reduce the risk of costly litigation in the Employment Tribunal. Fiona and Hurmus will share from their own experience the common issues which lead to ER issues escalating beyond internal procedures. They will also focus on some of the trickier issues employers are faced with when dealing with grievances and disciplinaries including:
- Overlapping disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Handling multiple employee requests to postpone a disciplinary hearing
- Who should hear the disciplinary/grievance?
- Dealing with grievance processes post-employment
