Legal Apprentices
Become an apprentice at Freeths
Solicitor apprenticeship 6 years (school leavers)
Our solicitor apprenticeship gives school leavers a route to qualification as a lawyer after completing A Levels.
How it works
Trainee solicitor apprentices join us in September after receiving A Level results. On the programme, you will work closely with high-performing lawyers at all levels in the firm, supporting them on a range of legal tasks.
The complexity of the work will develop as you progress through the programme.
As a trainee solicitor apprentice you will:
- Spend four days a week on the job training doing practical, hands-on work with your department and one day a week off the job training studying with the University of Law
- Reach degree level within the solicitor apprenticeship
- Prepare for and complete your solicitor qualifying exams (SQE 1 and 2)
- Complete qualifying work experience
Once you have passed your solicitor qualifying exams and completed the apprenticeship you will be ready to qualify as a solicitor.
“I started the Freeths legal assistant programme and have never looked back! The programme was an excellent way of starting my legal career as it enabled me to adapt to the legal working environment and learn ‘on the job’ whilst fully being supported by Freeths throughout.”
