Risk Management – know-how for HR series: Pensions, Death-in-Service and Harmonisation: What you need to know and what you need to do to be legally compliant

Date: Tuesday 16 July
Time:
9:00am - 10:30am
Venue: Freeths, Central Square, 29 Wellington St, Leeds, LS1 4DL

The pensions landscape is ever evolving, and companies are increasingly finding themselves in breach of their statutory obligations in relation to automatic enrolment which in some cases can result in possible fines, reputational damage and remedial action.  We will highlight common pitfalls and the ways in which these can be prevented and rectified and provide practical tips on how to deal with the nuances of pensions pre- and post-acquisition and when undertaking harmonisation exercises.

We will also provide guidance on death-in-service arrangements specifically what steps should be taken when a member of the arrangement sadly passes away to avoid complaints from potential beneficiaries to the Pensions Ombudsman.

The session is free to attend with breakfast and refreshment provided.

Please arrive from 9:00am for a prompt 9:30am start.

RSVP to register your place or contact Hollie Bryan for any questions.

HR teams often have a central or supporting role in managing additional workforce issues, such as health & safety, pension provision and immigration arrangements.

These practical know-how sessions will help to refresh and update you on law and best practice - and most importantly - mitigate risk.
