EdTech Data Protection workshop
Date: Tuesday 21 July 2026
Time: 14:30 - 17:00
Venue: Freeths London office, 1 Vine Street, Mayfair, London, W1J 0AH
The ICO's recent report into the EdTech sector examined 10 areas of data protection compliance. It found gaps in all 10.
You may be aware of the report published by the Information Commissioner’s Office on 24 June focussing upon areas of non-compliance on the part of EdTech businesses in their handling of children’s data. ICO makes clear that it expects the highest standards of data protection from the sector.
To help you get ahead of these issues, we’re hosting a practical, workshop-style session designed specifically for EdTech businesses.
In a focused, interactive format, we’ll:
• Break down each of the ICO’s key areas of concern
• Explore what they mean in practice for your organisation
• Share practical steps to assess and reduce your risk
This is a hands-on session where you can sense-check your approach and ask the questions that matter to your business.
After the session, there will be an opportunity for informal networking over drinks. All attendees will receive a post-event actionable summary capturing the key takeaways and next steps discussed.
