Anthony Coxon, Founder, EdTech Evidence Group

Anthony Co-founded GCSEPod, a multi award winning EdTech company that has been going for well over a decade and reaches over a million students across forty countries. Anthony continues to be passionate about education and its importance for today's and tomorrow's learners, retaining his seat on the BESA Executive Council as well as being recently appointed as the Chair of the EEG.


Frank Suttie, Commercial Director, Freeths LLP

Frank is a graduate in both accountancy and law specialising in commercial law with particular emphasis upon the requirements of the EdTech sector. He advises businesses operating in the education and skills sectors covering learning platforms, education apps and publishing with particular expertise in the use of Artificial Intelligence in education products and in the development of strategic partnership relationships.

Frank will be providing an analysis of key themes encountered when providing legal advice to EdTech firms, including the implications of unverifiable claims within marketing strategies, issues encountered in the area of GDPR compliance, points to watch when marketing products to parents and implications of the Children's Code.


Ed Tranham, Editor of The Assignment Report

Ed has been publisher and editor of The Assignment Report for 15 years, providing comprehensive analysis and informed comment on companies across the UK and international education industry, and heading a team which undertakes bespoke research and commercial due diligence for investors. Throughout his career, Ed has been involved in several start-ups across the sector, including co-founding Cambridge Education Associates and Optimus Education. He is also co-founder and director of Agena, a provider of probabilistic modelling software for risk analysis, AI and decision- making applications.

Ed will be discussing the key value drivers, including efficacy, in UK K-12 focused M&A and fundraising transactions.


Karri Vuori, Partner, finnCap Cavendish

Karri joined finnCap Cavendish in 2020 and has almost 20 years' experience in the industry. Uniquely, Karri has experience of the full lifecycle for entrepreneurial companies having advised entrepreneurs, all the way from their first institutional investment, through to trade or private equity sales, as well as IPOs.

Karri has considerable experience across the Human Capital Management and EdTech markets having advised a broad range of companies including, among others, Nord Anglia Education, Penna Consulting, Mullin International and Learning Curve. He is also a regular contributor at industry events such as Education Investor Global and an M&A commentator on CNBC.

Prior to finnCap Cavendish Karri was Head of M&A at Liberum Capital and Panmure Gordon. He is a KPMG-trained Chartered Accountant and has a BA in Economics and a MA in Politics from Durham University.

Karri will be talking about his experience of the transition from traditional delivery models to blended learning and the associated impacts on valuation and transactions.
