Freeths advises Various Eateries on acquisition and rebrand to Coppa Collective

Leading law firm Freeths has advised Various Eateries on its £11.25m acquisition of a portfolio of premium pubs with rooms from Grosvenor Pubs.

The transaction will establish a new operating brand, The Linwood Collection, and supports the group’s proposed rebrand to Coppa Collective.

Various Eateries is a multi-format hospitality group operating the Coppa Club and Noci brands. With a growing, design-led estate, the group is backed by hospitality entrepreneur Hugh Osmond and continues to expand across premium dining, all-day clubhouse and neighbourhood concepts.

Grosvenor Pubs operates a collection of regionally based pubs with rooms known for their character, high-quality investment and strong local reputations. The portfolio features a mix of freehold and long leasehold assets across the South East and Cotswolds.

Various Eateries has exchanged asset purchase agreements to acquire four sites, with completion expected on or around 23 March 2026, and has an agreement in place to potentially acquire a fifth. On completion, the acquired sites will form The Linwood Collection, the group’s new third operating brand.

Leading the Freeths team on this deal was Real Estate Partner Leo Skinner and Corporate Partner Natalie Drought.

Commenting on the deal, Leo Skinner said: “This transaction represents a significant strategic step for Various Eateries as it moves into a segment where it can create real operational and commercial value. The Linwood sites are strong, characterful assets, and integrating them into the group’s platform presents a compelling opportunity for scalable growth. We’re proud to support the group on this next phase and to draw on Freeths’ extensive experience advising within the hospitality and leisure sector.”
