Global talent UK visa route

Global talent visas have replaced the Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) route. The global talent visa is designed to entice leaders or potential leaders in fields such as academia and research, arts and culture and digital technology to come and work in the UK.

This route is attractive to individuals within those fields as there are very few requirements that must be met.

You will usually have to obtain an endorsing letter from the relevant endorsing body in support of your application. Alternatively, if you have been awarded a prestigious prize in your relevant field, you will be exempt from the requirement to secure an endorsement.

You can settle in the UK under this route after a period of 3 or 5 years, depending on your circumstances, making it easier for you to remain living in the UK if you wish.
