About Emily

Emily is an Associate in the Restructuring & Insolvency team, based in our London office. 

After graduating from The University of Nottingham with a BA Honours Degree in History, Emily studied at The University of Law in Manchester, where she was awarded a Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice with Distinction. Emily joined Freeths in 2021 as a Legal Assistant and qualified as a Solicitor in 2024.

Emily deals with all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency, advising national and regional insolvency practitioners, company directors, creditors, and debtors, on both non-contentious and contentious insolvency issues.

In terms of corporate insolvency, Emily regularly assists with Administrations, Business and Asset Sale/Purchases, Post-Appointment Advice and Liquidations. Emily also advises in respect of Antecedent Transaction Claims and Winding Up Petitions. 

Emily’s personal insolvency experience includes acting in respect of Possession and Sale Applications, Delivery up and Examination Orders, Bankruptcy Petitions and Annulment Applications.
