Trainee Trade Mark Attorney
Fiona works within the Intellectual Property and Media team, supporting the team’s non-contentious and contentious caseload. Fiona studies part-time at the Queen Mary University of London on the Trade Marks Law and Practice course.
Fiona assists the Trade Mark Attorney and the IP solicitors in the team with work across a wide range of business sectors including automotive, food and drink, retail, fashion, construction, education and entertainment. In addition to the core IP work, she supports the team’s advertising regulatory and media litigation practices.
Fiona studied English Language and Linguistics at the University of Aberdeen. She also has a Masters in Forensic Linguistics from Aston University.
Intellectual Property & Media
- Fiona’s practice encompasses initial branding and product clearance advice through to registration of trade marks (UK and EU) and designs (UK and Community). In addition, Fiona assists with contentious trade mark matters such oppositions, revocations and, applications for invalidity, as well as preparing and recording UK, EU, international and foreign trade mark, design and copyright assignments.
