Graeme Danby

Graeme Danby is a Partner and National Head of Insolvency & Creditor Services at Freeths.

He leads the firm's national insolvency practice, working closely with insolvency practitioners, lenders, corporates and credit professionals across the UK. Graeme has overall responsibility for the continued growth and development of the team, supporting clients through both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters while driving the firm's national creditor services offering.

With a background spanning debt recovery, insolvency and creditor services, Graeme brings a commercially focused perspective to client relationships. Having worked extensively with insolvency practitioners, boards, finance teams and credit professionals throughout his career, he understands the practical challenges clients face and focuses on delivering solutions that achieve commercial outcomes.

Graeme is responsible for many of the firm's key insolvency and creditor services relationships and has helped establish Freeths as a trusted adviser to insolvency practitioners, lenders and major corporates nationwide. He is particularly experienced in developing strategic partnerships, managing national panel appointments and creating scalable legal solutions for high volume and complex work streams.

Working across the firm's national office network, Graeme has played a significant role in building a collaborative ‘one firm’ approach to insolvency and creditor services, ensuring clients can access specialist expertise wherever they operate.

Away from client work, Graeme is actively involved in the development of the insolvency profession and regularly works with industry bodies, insolvency practitioners and professional advisers on market and regulatory issues affecting the sector.
