James Bird

James is a Managing Associate in the Real Estate team with broad real estate and renewables experience. In recent years James has developed expertise in advising developers, investors and landowners in relation to energy and infrastructure projects – particularly setting up new solar, battery and wind portfolios.

From drafting bankable precedent documents to running teams negotiating options, leases and easements, reporting on title, all the way to development, funding or acquisition/disposal at shovel-ready stage (including preparing and negotiating Certificates of Title).

James has also acted for developers and landowners in relation to the acquisition and disposal of development land and related easements; for investment funds and corporate occupiers in relation to landlord and tenant matters; and for buyers and sellers in relation to acquisitions and disposals of commercial property of all kinds.
