Jesse is an employment law specialist with a particular expertise in providing pragmatic advice and solutions to businesses on all aspects of day-to-day employee relations queries including disciplinaries, grievances and redundancies.
Having worked as a HR Adviser and HR Lead prior to qualifying as a Solicitor and gained first-hand experience, Jesse developed an in-depth understanding of HR processes and applies a commercial approach whilst helping HR teams and senior management across different sectors to resolve issues.
Jesse manages all aspects of complex Employment Tribunal claims for clients which include but are not limited to claims for discrimination, unfair dismissal, unlawful deduction of wages and others.
Jesse also assists clients with other non-contentious matters such as preparing, negotiating and advising on settlement agreements, drafting contracts of employment / service agreements for directors and providing TUPE related advice during corporate transactions.
Jesse recently appeared as an advocate in the Employment Tribunal for an open preliminary hearing. Representing the respondent, a multi-national retailer, Jesse was successful in persuading the Employment Tribunal to dismiss the claimant’s entire disability discrimination claim on account of it being brought outside of the statutory time limit.
