• Haweswater Aqueduct Project, England – acting for the Contractor (STRABAG UK Limited) on circa £3 billion of construction contracts for this major water infrastructure. The project is a first of its kind in the UK water sector approved by OFWAT to be delivered through a Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) model

• Biomass Plant, UK – acted for the developer on a CHiP facility providing heat and power to Thames Water and the National Grid, including advice on the construction, operation and maintenance arrangements, technology supply agreements and ongoing contract management, including follow-up advice on operational aspects

• Numerous London office and retail developments, UK – acted for various funds on the development of numerous prime office and retail spaces in London, including preparation of JCT contracts (soft-strip, enabling works and main works), preliminary consultant appointments and full consultant appointments

• Pumped hydro, Wales – advised First Hydro Company on the replanting and refurbishment of the 360MW Ffestiniog pumped storage power plant and on an EPC contract, based on the FIDIC form, for switchgear upgrade and refurbishment works at Dinorwig power station
  

• BritNed Electricity Interconnector, UK/The Netherlands – acted for BritNed Development Limited, a joint venture between National Grid and TenneT, in connection with the UK–Netherlands electricity interconnector
  

• Battery storage, UK – acted for Fluence on the construction and operational arrangements for the first phase of UK Power Reserve’s 120MW battery storage portfolio, involving three EPC contracts and three long-term supply agreements for three 20MW systems

• Offshore wind and transmission, UK – advised DONG Energy on the first transitional Offshore Transmission Owner tender process for four offshore wind farms and on construction and operational aspects of the sale of share capital in connection with Walney offshore wind farm

•  Surgil petrochemical project, Uzbekistan – advised export credit agencies, development banks and commercial lenders on the construction, operation and technology supply aspects of the US$3.9 billion gas-to-petrochemicals project

• Morupule A power station, Botswana – advised Botswana Power Corporation on the evaluation of tenders and on-site negotiation of contract terms for the refurbishment and rehabilitation of the 132MW coal-fired power station

• Goldman Sachs investment in DONG Energy A/S – advised Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division on its investment, alongside Arbejdsmarkedets Tillaegspension and PFA Pension Forsikringsaktieselskab, of DKK 11 billion in DONG Energy A/S
