About Jim
Jim has a wealth of experience in all types of construction and engineering matters including development, energy and infrastructure projects. Jim has worked on projects in a variety of sectors including wind (onshore and offshore), solar, hydro, interconnectors, gas and coal-fired power plants, chemical plants and some offshore oil and gas projects. Jim also has extensive experience of development and logistics projects in the UK including acting for various developers and funds.
Jim is also a leading lawyer in the water utilities sector having advised the Contractor on the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP), a major water infrastructure initiative to upgrade the aqueduct serving over 2.5 million people across the North West of England. The project is the first of its kind in the UK water sector approved by Ofwat to be delivered through a Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) model providing best value to customers.
Jim has worked with most standard forms of contract and has drafted bespoke contracts for both construction and operational phases of projects. Additionally, Jim has acted across various energy projects including battery storage, onshore and offshore wind, hydro power and solar projects. As well as numerous retail outlets on construction aspects of their real estate portfolios.
