Joe Lythgoe

Joe is a Director at Freeths with over 10 years’ experience across a broad range of complex and international M&A and other corporate transactions (including sell side and buy side mandates, auction processes, employee incentives, joint ventures, strategic investments and restructures). 

Joe’s practice includes:

• For his management and founder clients, Joe advises on ongoing shareholder arrangements, employee incentives and exits
• As part of Freeths’ International Private Equity Portfolio Team, Joe advises financial sponsors and their portfolios in their M&A, corporate governance, share capital activity and management incentives 
• For large corporate clients, Joe supports with legal and finance teams on acquisitions, disposals, restructures and corporate governance

Joe has a particular focus on the creative industries. His background includes advising:

• Founder-owned creative businesses on significant private equity investments and subsequent “bolt-on” acquisitions
• Large advertising and marketing agencies and consultancies on their day-to-day corporate matters as well as corporate investments and M&A
• International television production companies on multiple acquisitions (including in-house)
