About Josh
Josh is a Managing Associate in our Liverpool office and has over 6 years’ experience of Financial Services Regulatory law.
Josh supports and provides advice to a wide range of clients on all aspects of financial services regulation including insurance, reinsurance and alternative risk transfer, discretionary benefits schemes, credit related regulated activities, regulated claims management, funds, CISs and AIFs, and regulated home finance. Josh has a particular interest in the regulation of digital assets and cryptoassets, including stablecoins.
Josh’s broad regulatory experience includes regulatory due diligence, perimeter and compliance guidance, change in control advice, and policy wording interpretation, particularly transactional risk insurance policies used in M&A activity, property transactions, environmental projects, and insolvency proceedings.
In addition to the financial services work he carries out, Josh also advises Solicitors Regulation Authority regulated persons and Bar Standards Board regulated persons in relation to non-contentious issues and regulatory structuring, particularly in the context of M&A activity, litigation funding, and private equity investment.
Josh enjoys public speaking and recording podcasts. He has delivered in-person and remote student careers presentations and CPD training for law firms, members of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and members of the Association of Insurance and Risk Managers in Industry and Commerce.
