About Louise
Louise Mahon advises on Scottish, UK-wide and cross-border corporate transactions with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, management buy-outs and investments in owner-managed and growth businesses. She has extensive experience acting for founders, retiring shareholders, management teams and investors across a wide range of sectors, including professional services, energy and infrastructure, technology, engineering and manufacturing.
Louise is recognised for her pragmatic and commercial approach, and for guiding clients through complex transactions involving shareholder dynamics, succession planning and strategic exits. She regularly advises on share sales and purchases, reorganisations, joint ventures, and equity investments.
Before joining Freeths, Louise worked at leading law firms in Scotland, Manchester and London, advising on national and global corporate transactions. She also spent time in-house at a London-based private equity and investment firm, giving her a strong understanding of investor priorities and deal execution from both sides of the table.
Louise is ranked as a Next Generation Partner in Corporate Law by Legal 500.
