About Rahul
Rahul has over 10 years experience in Private Client advising clients on their tax, trusts and estate planning.
Rahul joined Freeths in February 2020 and will be working across our East Midlands offices. Prior to joining Freeths he spent 7 years at a well established large regional firm who were recognised in Tier 1 Legal 500 and Chambers Top Tier.
Rahul has a particular interest in advising business owners on their succession planning having completed a STEP Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising.
Rahul is a full member of STEP and Solicitors for the Elderly.

Recent Work
- Rahul was instructed to advise business owners on their exit strategy and succession planning. This involved advising on the benefits of transfer of shares into a lifetime trust which his team managed and advice relating to capital taxes including Entrepreneurs Relief and Business Property Relief. Rahul drafted bespoke Wills and Trusts and provided advice on Business and Personal Powers of Attorney.
- Rahul was instructed to advise a farmer on his personal tax position and more specifically in respect of land which was let out. Rahul gave advice on the and the availability of reliefs for Inheritance Tax which involved setting up Trusts and consideration of a Farm Business Tenancy.
- Rahul was instructed to administer an Estate where the deceased held assets in multi-jurisdictions including USA and Germany. This involved advising on a lifetime trust which was subject to the Lichtenstein disclosure facility as well as investigation of lifetime gifts.
- Rahul advised a couple on their Will and the best way to protect their assets for the benefit of their children including one child who was unable to manage his own affairs and this involved the drafting of a bespoke Trust within the Will.
