Saima Islam joined Freeths after qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2019.
Saima is based in our Oxford office, and joined the Firm’s Trusts, Estates and Tax team within the Family Wealth Department. She assists on a wide range of matters including the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deeds of Variation, as well as acting for Executors and Trustees in the administration of Estates and Trusts.
Saima is working towards gaining her STEP accreditation.

- Saima has recently been working on several high net worth and complicated estates. This includes estates which have various technical issues involving claims for Agricultural Property Relief, Business Property Relief and intricate inheritance tax calculations.
- Saima has also been working on a number of international matters, including the administration of a high net worth cross-border estate with assets held in the UK and within an offshore trust structure. Other international matters worked on by Saima include obtaining Grants of Representation for estates with a non-domiciled Deceased and Resealing applications under the Colonial Probates Act 1892.
- In addition to administering estates, Saima has assisted several clients with the preparation of their Wills and Power of Attorney.
