Sarah Moran

Sarah specialises in all aspects of property litigation with a particular interest in housebuilder and agricultural disputes.  She has experience with contractual disputes involving all types of development contracts, disputes involving land rights such as restrictive covenants and easements, boundary disputes, highways,  telecoms, compulsory purchase, misrepresentation and professional negligence. 

She has also acted for several utility and housebuilder clients on claims under the Water Industry Act 1991 and Electricity Act 1989, and claims involving district heat networks. 

Prior to working in private practice Sarah spent 8 years working as an inhouse solicitor for a FTSE 100 housebuilder where she acted on land acquisitions, disposals and planning. She also spent time with the sales and marketing teams and as a project manager on a group led strategic customer service project. 

Sarah likes to take the time to understand each client’s business and the commercial drivers behind their decisions, ensuring her advice is always commercially aligned and client focused.

Sarah is currently in her final year of a MSc In Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural University covering topics including valuation, compulsory purchase, agricultural law and planning. Her dissertation will explore development In National Landscapes.  She then hopes to work towards her MRICS and FAAV qualifications alongside her role at Freeths.
