About Sophie

Sophie originally studied Law at the University of Birmingham obtaining a First Class Degree. She went on to complete her Solicitor Qualification Exams with the University of Law. 

Sophie is an Associate in the Nottingham employment team at Freeths. She qualified into the employment team in June 2024 after two years of experience advising on employment law as a Trainee Solicitor and Legal Assistant. 

As part of her day-to-day role, she advises on a range of employment and HR issues including providing ad-hoc advice, reviewing contracts of employment and assisting clients through the Tribunal process. Sophie also works closely with her colleagues in Corporate to deal with the employee related aspects of corporate transactions including undertaking due diligence and negotiating service agreements. 

Sophie is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.

Sophie is an avid champion of Diversity and Inclusion within Freeths and is the Co-Chair of the firm’s Balance (Gender Equity) Network.
