About Suzanne
Suzanne is a Director at Freeths, who joined in November 2025. Suzanne qualified as a solicitor in 2002 and joins us from Knights PLC, formerly having worked at Wake Smith solicitors.
Suzanne has more than 20 years of experience advising private clients, including business clients, agricultural clients and HNW and UHNW clients. She is particularly interested in working with agricultural clients and has had success negotiating values with the District Valuer, claiming APR and BPR and also claiming UK domicile for a farmer who held Irish assets.
Suzanne has extensive experience dealing with cross border estates, dealing with assets in multiple jurisdictions and re-sealing UK Grants overseas. In one case, Suzanne had beneficiaries in 17 jurisdictions and administered and divided the estate, valued at £17m, across those 17 jurisdictions.

In that role, Suzanne oversees disputes between landowners and miners for the liberties of Wirksworth, Ashford, Tideswell, Peak Forest, Hartington, Stoney Middleton and Eyam, sitting twice a year to hear these disputes.
