William Woods

William is an Associate in the Construction and Engineering team in the Bristol office, specialising in clean energy construction projects. William has a particular interest in battery energy storage system (BESS) and solar projects. 

Prior to joining Freeths, William worked in-house as Legal Counsel for a BESS developer on projects across UK&I and has built up experience advising and negotiating on complex engineering contracts (EPC/EPC-M) as well as balance of plant, O&M agreements, BESS supply agreements, SCADA contracts and option & lease agreements.

William trained at a top-100 law firm and has commercial litigation experience acting for a major telecommunications company in the small claims and fast track civil courts.
