Zoe Pettigrew

Zoe advises developers, investors, energy suppliers, and offtakers on a broad range of commercial, regulatory and transactional matters across the clean energy sector. She has particular experience of supporting clients on solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects throughout their development, construction and operational phases.

Her experience includes project acquisitions and disposals, project structuring, route-to-market arrangements, private wire and other corporate PPAs, energy supply arrangements, EPC and O&M contracts, and other key commercial agreements across the project lifecycle.

Prior to joining Freeths, Zoe held legal roles both in private practice and in-house. Her career reflects a longstanding interest in clean energy and the role it plays in the transition to a more sustainable energy system. She understands the legal, commercial and operational considerations that drive project development, investment and energy innovation, enabling her to provide pragmatic and commercially-focused advice to clients.
