The resignation of David Davis may make it more feasible to reach an amicable divorce settlement with the EU. This potentially leaves the way open for a soft Brexit with greater possibility of preserving access for British businesses to markets in the EU.
For many businesses this could be welcome news, but so much still rests on whether an agreement can be reached at all. Time is running out with only 9 months left until we leave the EU. We now need the cabinet to pull together to broker a deal which benefits the UK and Europe.
