Heat Networks – Part 1: an intro and hot topics

With government’s Heat and Buildings Strategy hot off the press, it is clear that heat networks will have a long-term role in the UK’s energy strategy, but they also come under regular scrutiny as unregulated monopolies and can create challenging legal and commercial hurdles.

However, they also offer significant opportunities to create revenues, reduce carbon footprints, tackle fuel poverty and recover heat that would otherwise be wasted.

  • Are you a property developer required to install or connect to heat networks through planning?
  • Are you an investor looking for new asset opportunities?
  • Are you a public body considering heat as part of your sustainability strategy?
  • Are you a manufacturer looking to recover and harness waste heat?
  • Are you an energy from waste operator looking to off-load recovered heat?
  • Are you a landlord keen to understand how your tenants can be protected?

Joins us for this first of two webinars, which will provide an introduction to heat networks, their challenges and opportunities, and the current trends driving an ever-expanding market.

Date: Wednesday 1st December 2021
Time: 10am – 11am

The second webinar, due early next year, will focus on the decarbonisation of heat, why it’s needed and how it could be achieved.
