Freeths Bristol announces record financial growth
Freeths has today announced record year-on-year growth since launching in Bristol in 2019, revealing a revenue increase of 51% in the last year.
Well known for advising some of the largest organisations in the UK and Europe, such as Centrica Plc, Freeths Bristol has declared its fourth consecutive year of prosperity. Now home to more than 50 staff, the Bristol office has added a specialist private wealth team in the last year as well as new hires in the firm’s highly regarded Planning and Environmental law team.
These strategic hires have helped bolster the office’s portfolio of services, whilst maintaining team growth in key services already well established in the region, such as real estate, corporate and property litigation.
Private Wealth & Tax Director Tom Gauterin has recently been appointed to advise on the restructuring of a £100m family-owned property business. This multi-stage instruction will assess whether its UK arm is likely to qualify for business relief in due course. In the long term, Freeths will help provide organisational legal advice so it can continue over several generations.
To help meet client demand in the South West, Ben Derrington joined the Planning and Environmental Law team in the Bristol office. Ben has over 17 years’ legal experience in environmental law and a technical background in environmental science. He acts for high profile businesses across the key sectors of waste, energy, agriculture, construction and manufacturing.
There have been many notable real estate, corporate and energy deals at Freeths Bristol in the last year, including Photovolt Development Partners’ (PVDP) development of Europe’s largest ever solar farm.
Adam Watson, Managing Partner of the Bristol office, said: “I am proud of what we have achieved as an office over the last year and beyond. What separates us from our rivals is our ability to give clients answers and not options.
Commercialism is at the heart of what we do, and we will continue to recruit at all levels as we look to at least double the size of our practice over the next two years.”
