Northern Education Business Forum - Going for Growth
Date: Wednesday 24 June 2026
Time: 08:30 - 10:30
Venue: Freeths office, 10th Floor, Central Square, 29 Wellington Street, Leeds, LS1 4DL
We are once again welcoming business leaders from the education and skills commercial sector to the Northern Education Business Forum - formed to discuss issues affecting businesses and to share knowledge and experience across this important sector. In this session, we welcome well known consultant Alicia Coad for an in-conversation session. The session will focus on strategies to develop messaging and the use of market research to grow a customer base.
Introducing our panel
Listening to the conversation will be our guest panel comprising leaders with experience in supporting corporate growth strategies:
- Jonny Sharp, Director and Co-Founder, Cerelo Advisory;
- Andy Atkins, Trustee and Director, Rural Arts;
- Simon Grant, Non-Executive Director, Lexonik;
- Dahren Naidoo, Partner, Corporate Finance, Freeths LLP.
And, an important update if your business sells to parents and carers.
We are providing an update on new rules affecting the way businesses deal with consumers – relevant to businesses that have parental focussed products and services. The prohibition on “drip pricing” practices and the soon to be implemented regulation of free trial and subscription products and services and how this could affect your business will be covered.
This is also a chance to network and engage in an open discussion of issues affecting your business with your peers, as well as receiving top tips from experts.
A light breakfast will be served at 08:30, with discussions starting at 09:00.
