Watt’s New in Energy, Mining and Infrastructure

We are pleased to launch Watt’s New in Energy, Mining and Infrastructure, a monthly 30 minute webinar Q&A series delivering focused, practical legal updates for the energy, mining and infrastructure sector, with a focus on dispute risks and how to mitigate (or avoid) them.

The series launches on Wednesday, 23 September at 10.00am, and will thereafter run on the third Wednesday of each month at 10.00am.

Each session will provide:

•  a concise overview of recent legal, political and technological developments impacting the sector;

• the chance to submit legal questions to our panel of experts, in advance, on project related issues, the impact of recent legal or political changes, and everyday legal queries requiring clear, practical answers;

• insight into recent cases and how these may influence project risk, delivery and disputes exposure; and

• a practical discussion of recurring legal issues and disputes risks that arise in the development, financing, construction and operation of energy and infrastructure projects

The series will be moderated by Ciara Ros and will feature expert lawyers from Freeths, with occasional guest speakers, offering clear and practical insight in just half an hour. The series is relevant for developers, investors, operators, advisers, contract managers, in house legal and commercial teams, technical experts, and anyone working in — or with an interest in — energy and infrastructure.

Attendees are invited to submit questions in advance by email using the button below.

Questions:

• must be submitted by the Friday prior to each session;

• will be anonymised and must not include project specific or confidential details; and

• may relate to any legal issue relevant to the energy and infrastructure space

While we cannot guarantee that every question will be covered, we will prioritise themes of broad relevance and aim to address as many questions as possible.
