Planning Law Update - October 2019

As we see Brexit looming closer, the developments were mainly interesting cases and appeals. An appeal was allowed against CIL surcharges imposed due to a late Liability Notice (LN), whilst another appeal was dismissed as the inspector concluded that an emailed LN was correctly served.


In other news, the House of Commons Library have produced a new briefing paper for the recent changes to planning obligations, and Defra has both produced new environment reports and received comments on a published progress report, namely by the NCC. We update below on recent planning law changes
