Freeths solicitor crowned 'Solicitor of the Year' at prestigious awards dinner

Real Estate Partner, Patrick Adie, who specialises in residential development and strategic land, has won the prestigious 'Solicitor of the Year Award' at the recent Nottinghamshire Law Society Annual Awards Dinner.

The award was granted on the basis of “reputation, experience, acumen, professionalism, commitment to clients, involvement in the community, leadership qualities and energy”. It comes just less than a decade since Patrick received the 'Junior Lawyer of the Year' early on in his career. The Law Society particularly praised Patrick's charitable contributions. He has been a trustee and Chair of the Finance Board for Faith in Families, an adoption agency, for nearly a decade and he successfully guided them in their merger with another agency, Adoption Focus, in early 2022. He is also very active in charity fundraising in fundraising, including taking part in the London and Manchester Marathons, a 20-mile 200 obstacle 'adventure race' in Lincolnshire, a 24-hour endurance relay race in Nottinghamshire, and a skydive. At Freeths he is a member of the firm's Diversity and Inclusion Committee and he leads on many internal initiatives including departmental training, updating precedents and he was a member of the firm's Staff Council. Julian Middleton, Chair of Freeths, commented “We are very proud that Patrick's contribution to the legal profession has been recognised.
