Freeths advises Beckett Investment Management Group on its sixth acquisition

Top 50 commercial law firm Freeths has advised Beckett Investment Management Group on its acquisition of Swallow Financial Planning from Andrew and Sarah Swallow.

Freeths has acted for Becketts for many years, and since its investment from the Foresight Group in 2021, Freeths has advised on all of its bolt-on acquisitions of financial services businesses, with this particular deal being the sixth to complete, with a further two ongoing in the pipeline.

Becketts offers a full spectrum of services designed to meet a range of financial needs, with the business’ expertise including investment planning, retirement strategies, wealth management and employee benefit solutions.

Based in Ipswich, Swallow are a Chartered Firm of financial planners recognised for their high standards of financial advice and client service. The firm has been established for over 20 years.

This is the second acquisition that Freeths has advised Becketts on this year, after previously advising the business on its purchase of Suffolk-based financial planning business Green Rose Financial.

Leading the Freeths team on this transaction was Managing Associate Maddy Scott, with John Heaphy as the Client Relationship Partner, supported by Legal Assistant Hugh Tweddle.
