Freeths advises on Inflexion’s majority investment in Ranger Fire and Security

Leading law firm Freeths has advised Ranger Fire and Security (Ranger) and its shareholders on a significant majority investment by European mid–market private equity firm Inflexion.

Ranger is a leading fire and security services platform operating across the UK and Ireland, providing a one–stop solution to businesses, charities and public sector organisations. The group has grown rapidly through a buy–and–build strategy, completing more than 25 acquisitions to date, employing over 500 people and generating revenues in excess of £75 million.

Inflexion has €20 billion of assets under management and specialises in backing high–growth, entrepreneurial businesses, supporting their expansion through strategic investment and acquisitions.

As part of the transaction, Hyperion Equity Partners will make a substantial re–investment alongside Inflexion, reflecting its continued confidence in Ranger’s growth strategy. The deal will support Ranger’s ongoing acquisition programme, further integration across the group and its ambition to build a national fire and security services platform, with potential for future international expansion.

Freeths advised on the transaction. Corporate Partner Zum Mohammed led negotiations supported by Christan Davison, George De Stacpoole, Georgie Glover, Lauryn Dawber, Dogukan Kansu, Olivia Smith, Anamika Pandey and Dhruv Shah, along with a wider multi–disciplinary team.
