Recently Alex represented an employer in a particularly complex disability discrimination case. The matter was highly contested and culminated in a liability hearing which was conducted over the course of nine days.
Following the nine-day final hearing, all claims against the employer were ultimately dismissed. This outcome reflected the strength of the evidence presented and the effectiveness of the case strategy.
After the dismissal of all claims, an application for costs was made on behalf of the employer. This application was successful, resulting in a favourable costs award for the employer. The success of both the substantive defence and the subsequent costs application underscored the comprehensive approach taken throughout the case.
