Jessica joined Freeths in 2016 and, as part of her training, spent time in the Commercial Dispute Resolution, Commercial Real Estate and Court of Protection teams before qualifying into the Commercial Dispute Resolution team in March 2021.
Jessica has experience in a range of commercial matters including shareholder disputes, breach of contract, professional negligence and debt recovery claims, along with claims arising out of commercial and civil fraud. Jessica is also regularly involved with contentious insolvency matters.
Jessica is a keen equestrian and has advised on a number of equine-related disputes including anti-doping code proceedings and claims involving mis-sold horses and defective horseboxes.
Jessica Lees is listed as a Recommended Lawyer in The Legal 500 (2024 edition).

- Pursuing an employee of a company for fraudulent expense claims and obtaining settlement of the claims and costs in the employer’s favour.
- Acting on behalf of a number of small and medium sized businesses in respect of claims against a financial institution for systematic abuse following an unauthorised internal transfer of the management of the businesses’ accounts between 2008 and 2013.
