Freeths advises Perci Health on high profile investment from Octopus Ventures

National law firm Freeths has advised MedTech company Perci Health (Perci) on its venture capital investment from Octopus Ventures.

Recently named by Hyer as one of the UK’s 50 most impactful companies to work for, Perci was co-founded in 2020 by Kelly McCabe, a registered oncology dietician, and Morgan Fitzsimons, former global head of marketing at ASOS.

Perci’s mission is to challenge the current status quo for those living with cancer and change perceptions about life after treatment. Perci is revolutionising the way long-term support is provided by offering holistic support and tailored 1:1 programmes that enable people living with cancer to make the best decisions about their health and wellbeing. Bridging the gap between cancer and wellness, Perci offers clients access to a range of high-quality cancer professionals focused on recovery from a physical, mental, social and emotional point of view.

Octopus Ventures is one of Europe’s largest venture capital teams. The investment in Perci has been partly funded through Octopus Future Generations VCT which is backing businesses that aim to address society’s biggest challenges by investing in companies aligned to three core investment themes: building a more sustainable planet, empowering people, and revitalising healthcare.

The Freeths legal team was led by corporate partner Francis Dalton, supported by managing associate Matthew Cooper, senior associate Alex Angelides, associate Shivani Fakey and legal assistant Alice Smith.
