Freeths advises on strategic acquisition of Castlemead

Leading law firm Freeths has advised its client on the purchase of Castlemead in Bristol.

Boasting 18 storeys, Castlemead is the second tallest building in the city, prominently located in the heart of its business district.

This transaction marks a significant strategic investment for the buyer and reflects a sustained appetite for high-quality regional assets. The deal also involved complex negotiations and due diligence, reflecting the scale and importance of the asset to the buyer’s long-term national investment strategy.

Leading the Freeths team on the acquisition was Director Mark Alexander. He was supported by a multi-disciplinary team across the firm’s national network, including lawyers from teams such as real estate, construction, planning and insolvency.

Commenting on the deal, Mark Alexander said: “We’re proud to have played a key role in this landmark transaction. Castlemead is one of the most recognisable commercial buildings in Bristol and this acquisition marks a significant step for our client’s portfolio. It was a true team effort across the firm, and another example of Freeths delivering seamless commercial advice on high-value, complex real estate transactions.”
