Freeths advises Rose Street Partners on acquisition of AGG Electrical Safety Testing Ltd

Leading law firm Freeths has advised Rose Street Partners (RSP) on its acquisition of AGG Electrical Safety Testing Limited.

Founded in 2006 by brothers Andy and Gavin Griffiths, AGG Electrical Safety Testing has grown from a local provider of Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) into a national player offering comprehensive electrical safety and property maintenance services. Headquartered in Chesterfield, AGG now serves clients across the UK, with a reputation for quality, reliability, and customer service.

The acquisition marks a strategic addition to Rose Street Partners’ portfolio, aligning with its commitment to supporting enduring businesses with strong operational foundations.

A multi-disciplinary team from Freeths provided legal advice to RSP on the deal, which was led by Corporate Partner Francis Dalton, supported by Associate Mia Broomhall. Freeths’ Banking Partner Michelle Wilkinson worked alongside Francis and Mia with Senior Associate Anna Protheroe and Trainee Edward Dempsey.

Commenting on the transaction, Francis Dalton said: "We are delighted to have supported Rose Street Partners on this acquisition. AGG is a well-established business with a strong growth trajectory, and this deal reflects RSP’s thoughtful approach to investing in businesses with long-term potential. It was a pleasure to work with the RSP team and help bring this transaction to a successful close."

Dan Skyte, CEO of Rose Street Partners, said: "We are incredibly pleased with the support we received from Francis Dalton, Mia Broomhall, and the entire Freeths team. Their expertise, dedication, and professionalism were instrumental in the successful acquisition of AGG Electrical Safety Testing Ltd and a smooth transaction. We look forward to working with the team again."
