Freeths corporate team advise on the sale of digital marketing agency

National firm Freeths have recently advised the shareholders of Greenlight on their sale to Brave Bison (an AIM listed media and marketing group).

Greenlight, based in London, is a full service digital and commerce agency made up of 170 people with a reputation for producing high quality marketing strategies across the entire digital space. Greenlight boasts brand clients such as Dixons Carphone, Furniture Village, Muller, GAP and New Balance. The Freeths team led by Leon Arnold (Partner – Corporate) and Mohammed Abbas (Managing Associate - Corporate) together with support from the wider multi-disciplinary Freeths team worked with Smith & Williamson Corporate Finance (led by partner Iain Lownes and senior manager Paul Stagg) to see the transaction through to completion.

Warren Cowan, Executive Chairman and founder of Greenlight, said: “Freeths have been an outstanding partner to us throughout, and have been a pleasure to work with on this complex, daunting and often emotional process. Always responsive, detailed and diligent, nothing has been too much trouble for them to explain and work with, and their advice comes from a true place of genuine experience, many hard fought and won battles, real deal making and years of practical law. Leon, Mohammed and their team are a credit to Freeths and their profession and we are immensely glad to have had them behind us”.

Leon Arnold, corporate partner at Freeths, commentedWe were delighted to work with Warren, Alicia, Andreas and the talented management team on this transaction. Whilst this marks the end of Warren, Alicia and Andreas’ association with Greenlight, we are thrilled that we were able to assist them in achieving the sale that they wanted and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours. We’re sure that Greenlight will go from strength to strength, building on the great work already done to date, under Brave Bison’s stewardship”.
