Freeths advises The Adil Group on acquisition of 22 KFC restaurants

Freeths has advised The Adil Group on its acquisition of 22 KFC restaurants from fellow franchisee 1st Rate. The deal makes The Adil Group KFC’s largest franchise partner in the UK and Ireland, expanding its presence across the North West, including Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool, Preston and Wigan.

The Adil Group is a family-owned business with more than 50 years’ experience in the quick-service restaurant sector. It operates more than 230 sites and employs over 7,000 people across brands including KFC, Costa Coffee, Burger King, Taco Bell and Anytime Fitness.

A significant milestone in the group’s growth strategy, this acquisition further strengthens The Adil Group’s long-standing relationship with KFC UK and Ireland, expanding its presence across the North West and increasing its KFC estate to 135 restaurants.
