Montagu-backed Funeral Partners continues impressive growth following another year of acquisition activity

Montagu Private Equity backed Funeral Partners has continued its impressive growth over the last year, completing a series of acquisitions. The acquisitions have bolstered Funeral Partners’ portfolio of funeral homes across the UK and cements their reputation as being one of the most active acquirers in the funeral services industry.

Steve Wilkinson, Acquisition & Mergers Director at Funeral Partners, said: “Notwithstanding the unprecedented times we find ourselves in and the many challenges presented by COVID-19, thanks to the unrelenting commitment of our people and advisers we have been able to continue to successfully pursue our acquisition strategy, closing 10 transactions in the last 12 months and 3 already in 2021.”

National commercial law firm, Freeths, longstanding legal advisors to Funeral Partners, advised Funeral Partners on all acquisitions. The team was led by Tom Brown, Corporate Partner in Birmingham, with support from Mohammed Abbas and Baljit Atwal.
