Freeths Expands National Employment, Pensions and Immigration Team with 10 Lawyers
Freeths has continued the expansion of its leading Employment, Pensions and Immigration practice with the appointment of 10 new lawyers across seven of its 12 offices.
Led by Rena Magdani, the team has grown revenue by 85% over the past five years, driven by increasing client demand and continued investment in its people and national capability.
The appointments come at a significant time for UK employers, as businesses navigate major changes in employment law and evolving workplace practices. The UK team advises employers across the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, from day-to-day workforce issues and complex litigation to business transformation and strategic projects.
The team has welcomed Director Sophie Fulwell; Senior Associates Lucy Moore and Lauren Ogden; and Associates Amnesha Dogra, Alipanah Akram, Charlotte Paget, Lauren Sutherland, Karolina Olczak, Brian Keen and Max Hodgson.
Rena Magdani, National Head of Employment, Pensions and Immigration at Freeths, said: “The expansion of our practice over the past five years has been exceptional. We have been deliberate about investing in talented people across our national network and strengthening our offering in markets where we see real opportunities for further growth.
“Welcoming 10 new colleagues is another important milestone for the team. It reflects both the strength of the practice we have built and our ambition for the future. We have a fantastic national team and I’m incredibly excited about what we can achieve in the next chapter.”
Sophie Fulwell, Director, added: “I’ve had a great start at Freeths and have been made to feel very welcome. There’s a real opportunity to grow our employment offering here in Liverpool, and I’m looking forward to building strong relationships with businesses across the city and beyond.”
Alongside the team’s continued growth, Freeths will shortly publish the results of its 2027 Employment Survey. The survey will provide HR directors, general counsel and business leaders with insight into the changing world of work. It will examine key issues including employment law reform, workforce and HR priorities, and the role of artificial intelligence and technology in the workplace.
